Laundry Assistant - Part Time - Woburn Home

We are looking for a Laundry Assistant who understands the importance of delivering quality customer focused services to our residents. Our laundry and housekeeping team play an integral part in ensuring that our Homes are a warm, inviting and pleasant environment to live and work. 

About the role: 

This role will be responsible for a variety of routine laundry duties, including maintaining documentation related to resident’s laundering and distributing of clothing and linen.  

You will be operating a variety of modern laundry machines and equipment whilst undertaking a range of laundry procedures such as, washing, drying, ironing, folding and delivering of resident’s clothing in consultation with residents. You will take pride in your work; have a friendly and positive attitude and an interest to achieve high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction. 

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Previous experience in Laundry practices in a residential, hospital or hospitality setting
  • Knowledge and experience in commercial cleaning processes would be great, but we can help you learn about this
  • Patience, common sense and a strong ethos of service to others
  • Ability to follow instructions,  meet deadlines and attend to multiple tasks & priorities
  • Ability to relate and converse with older people, and understanding you are in their Home
  • Ability and commitment to work in a team, and use initiative when required
  • Commitment to H&S practices and good hygiene

The core hours of work are Mon/Tue (08.30-14.00) Sat/Sun (08.00-14.00).  Flexibility to work across any day of the week and availability and willingness to pick up additional shifts to cover for leave is a bonus, and always appreciated by the Home.  This role offers an immediate start for the right person, so don't hesitate - apply early if you don't want to miss out - as we will be shortlisting as we receive applications.
