Health Care Assistant – Casual – Huntleigh Home

The Enliven Bureau team provides essential support to our residential homes, ensuring continuity of care during leave, absences, and busy periods. Our Wellington homes are located in Karori, Tawa, Johnsonville, and Lower Hutt.

Mō te tūranga - About the role 

We are looking for Healthcare Assistants to join our Enliven Bureau team working casually to support our Huntleigh Home in Karori – bonus if you can work across our Wellington Region Homes. Huntleigh Home provides rest home and hospital level of care. Hours of work are AM, PM and Night shifts across a 7-day week. 

  • Work as part of a supportive Enliven team delivering quality care
  • Support residents with daily living needs
  • Encourage independence and resident-led choices
  • Provide high-quality, individualised care
  • Follow health and safety practices and procedures
  • Work under guidance of the Registered Nurse team
  • Ensure resident needs are met promptly and effectively

Mō koe - About You

  • Passion for supporting the wellbeing of older people
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Health Care Assistant
  • Health & Wellbeing Certificate Level 2 (or higher)
  • Patient, organised, and a strong team player
  • Empathetic, compassionate, and respectful with a person-centred approach
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Comfortable using computers and digital records
  • Legal right to live and work in New Zealand
