The Enliven Bureau team provides essential support to our residential homes, ensuring continuity of care during leave, absences, and busy periods. Our Wellington homes are located in Karori, Tawa, Johnsonville, and Lower Hutt.

Mō te tūranga  - About the role

We are looking for are looking for Cleaners & Laundry Workers to work casually in our Bureau team across our Wellington Region Homes. 

As a Casual Cleaner you will, 

  • Keep our home spotless – deliver top-quality cleaning 
  • Work independently & as part of a supportive team
  • Follow clear routines and infection-control protocols for resident safety
  • Make a real difference in a vibrant, community-focused home

As a Laundry Worker you will, 

  • Have previous experience in laundry practices in a residential, hospital or hospitality setting
  • Knowledge and experience in commercial laundry processes, but we can help you learn about this
  • Take instruction and delegation from the Senior Housekeeper regarding priorities and routines 
  • You will be operating a variety of commercial laundry machines and equipment whilst undertaking a range of laundry procedures such as washing, drying, ironing, folding and delivering residents clothing.

  • Genuine passion for supporting the wellbeing of older people
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and well organised with strong interpersonal skills
  • Values empathy, compassion, and respect, creating a warm, welcoming environment
  • Previous rest home, hospital, hospitality, or commercial cleaning/laundry experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills on the job
  • Strong communication skills and a caring, person-centred approach
  • High standards of hygiene and understanding of cleaning and infection control
  • Team player who contributes to a positive resident experience
  • Legal right to live and work in New Zealand
